West Photo Imaging offers signs for several uses as shown below. You can submit your own artwork to us for output (see specifications below) or you may elect to have us do the design work for you. Included in the price of the sign is basic layout determined by your choice of template from the selection samples shown below. For an additional modest charge we can go beyond the basic layout design and custom design a sign for you, incorporating graphics, clip art or photographs. Signs requiring extensive layout time or additional services to create will be assessed additional charges as required and must have written client approval.

Knowing that one size doesn't fit all, we tailor our signs to your needs. We have very inexpensive, one-time use signs printed on heavy-weight paper with dye-based inks, and we have high-end signs designed to last years that are printed with archival pigment inks onto a variety of materials.

Our one-time use signs should stay out of the sun and not get wet. They will fade from UV exposure and "run" from any contact with liquids. Printed at 300 DPI (dots per inch) they are best viewed from a distance of 3 feet or greater. They can be over laminated, at an additional charge, to help protect them.

Our signs printed with archival pigment inks have withstood the test of time. We have displayed them on our own vehicles with outdoor exposures of almost two years before we changed the layout and wording (and thusly changed the sign). Our vehicle signs are printed on water-resistant self-adhesive vinyl, and have a polyester laminate to provide abrasion and UV resistance. They can be permanently applied directly to the vehicle for the utmost in security, or can be produced as a magnetic sign. Magnetic signs enable you to remove the sign from your vehicle for personal use or to put the vehicle through an automatic car wash. Indoors, signs printed with our archival pigment inks will last decades.

You may elect to receive a "soft proof" of any sign we design for you. These "soft proofs" will be emailed to you and may be view on your own monitor. "Hard proofs" are printed proofs for layout and design purposes and are available at an additional charge of $5.00 per 8½ x 11" proof. All proofs are for visual appraisal of the layout and do not necessarily represent accurately the color of the final output. We cannot provide precise color matching in the QUICK SIGN category. For signs requiring that level of accuracy in color, please refer to our Large Format Output.

Should your requirements include sizes not shown, please don't hesitate to contact us for prices and availability. Sign pricing does not include shipping charges. On basic signs, a 50% deposit MUST be received with your order; the balance is due before the sign will be shipped. For signs requiring extensive layout time or additional services, a 50% deposit of the basic sign charges MUST be received with the initial order. Upon your final approval of the proof, you will be notified by us of final charges, which MUST be received before the sign will be shipped.

West Photo Imaging does vehicle signs differently. Unlike most vehicle sign makers that cut out solid vinyl pieces to make up your sign, thus giving you only solid areas of color, we print our signs with a high-resolution inkjet printer wherein we can achieve blends of color. This provides you with the ability to incorporate blended graphic elements or photographs on your sign. And by over laminating our vehicle signs with a vinyl laminate, we eliminate lifting of sign elements, and increase the life of the sign by increasing abrasion resistance and decreasing fading through UV penetration. Our signs below have been tested in the elements and carry a two-year warranty from appreciable fading. We do not provide any warranty for wear as we have no control over how the customer handles the signs.

Base material is a white water-resistant self-adhesive vinyl printed with CcMmYK archival pigment inks at 720 dpi. Finished signs are over laminated with a polyester laminate, providing additional resistance to UV, water and abrasion. Non-magnetic signs WILL require careful installation by the purchaser. Suggestions for customer installation will be shipped with the signs. West Photo Imaging cannot make any warranty of lifetime for signs applied directly to the vehicle as we have no control over how it is applied by the customer, nor how the vehicle is prepared before and washed after the sign has been applied. If you wash your vehicle in an automatic car wash, it is recommended that you get magnetic vehicle signs so that the sign may be removed prior to entering the car wash.

Signs only are rolled for shipping and should be allowed to lay flat for a minimum of 24 Hours before application. Magnetic signs are shipped flat.

Maximum material width for non-magnetic vehicle signs is 50" which has a maximum printable width of 48". Signs can be a minimum of 8" x 12", and up to 50" x whatever length(height) you need. Please call for pricing for signs larger than 48" x 24". Pricing is per pair of two (2) signs, individual signs are at 75% of the pair price. Additional signs from the same file with the same order specifications and on the same order will be priced at a 25% Discount. Please contact us for special pricing on quantities of 10 or more additional signs. There is a minimum order of $30.00.

Base material is coated photo based inkjet paper printed with CMYK dye-based inks at 300 dpi. Maximum material width is 36" which has a maximum printable width of 35". Signs can be a minimum of 12" x 24", and up to 36" x whatever length that you need. See the chart below for prices based on your design and our output, or our basic design with output. Signs are rolled for shipping unless you elect to have them laminated and/or mounted.

Several materials are available for over-laminating your sign. If it is to be used outdoors, it is preferable to use a glossy over laminate such as glossy polyester for maximum in abrasion resistance. If indoor use is planned, then we can over-laminate with either glossy or matte vinyl, glossy polyester, or a textured polycarbonate. Please check our Laminating page for pricing.

For one-time use signs, or for signs which have an anticipated short length of service, our foam core mounting is an economical method of mounting signs. For signs that need to remain flat over a greater life period, or must stand up to a higher level of abuse, we can mount your sign onto Gatorboard or onto an expanded PVC base.
